Roger, (Alejandra de la Mora) is Daniela’s stepbrother who left for Brazil several years ago. After his long-awaited return and much to everyone’s surprise, Roger rejoins the family as Renata. Her arrival spurs an emotional crisis among her parents and sisters, exposing a hot topic that society has a hard time understanding and accepting: transsexualism.

Renata is rejected by her parents, when they can’t come to terms with her new persona. She feels lonely and misses her loved ones’ support during a vulnerable period in her life. She thinks she’s a mistake of nature, since she has always felt she was a woman trapped in the wrong body.

Now, the only person she can count on is her half-sister, Daniela, who will try to get her family to talk openly about the issue, understand it and realize that despite it all, Renata is still part of the family and ought to be accepted.
