All’s Fair @ Telemundo’s New Novela ‘ Vale Todo’.

Telemundo and TVGlobo-Brazil announced their first, Spanish-language co-production: “Vale Todo.” A new novela unlike any other, “Vale Todo” features an all-star international cast headed by Itati Cantoral, Diego Bertie, Ana Claudia Talancon and Javier Gomez. Amidst a maelstrom of fiery passion and high-flung drama, a mother’s love triumphs above all and ultimately proves stronger than her own daughter’s cruelty, greed and dishonesty. Sure to smash all the traditional novela rules, this major production premieres Monday, June 24th and will air every Monday through Friday at 9:00PM ET/PT.

Raquel (Itati Cantoral), is a humble but honest single mother who has lived most of her life with her father in a small town outside Rio. Forced to work hard to provide for her daughter Maria de Fatima (Ana Claudia Talancon), she has not been able to spend quality time with her. That sense of guilt prevents her from realizing what her little girl has become: a willful, self-absorbed woman who will do anything to satisfy her ambitions, including turning her back on her own family.

Maria de Fatima’s evil, unscrupulous schemes soon force Raquel to move to Rio in search of her daughter. Once there, she meets and falls deeply in love with Ivan (Diego Bertie), and they go on to have a passionate, but complicated relationship. Ivan is a good, honest man, and a hard worker. But as a man of principles, he makes some powerful enemies, including Marco Aurelio (Javier Gomez), a full-time villain with whom he will clash.

“Vale Todo” was written by Yves Dumont and directed by Jose Paulo Vallone.
