Entravision Communications announces the expansion of its ever-popular “Radio Tricolor” radio format to the greater Aspen area on KPVW FM – 107.1 FM. “Radio Tricolor”, a regional Mexican format, can also be heard in Denver on KMXA AM – 1090 AM and KXPK-FM, the new 96.5 FM.
“Approximately 25,000 Hispanics travel between Glenwood Springs and Aspen daily, and we feel that this vibrant and growing community is under served. We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to take our successful Denver “Radio Tricolor” template into the Mountains,” said Rob Quinn, General Manager, of Entravision Communications Denver radio cluster, which includes, KMXA AM, KJMN FM, KXPK FM Denver and KPVW FM Aspen.
KJMN-FM (92.1), Entravision’s other Spanish-language FM continues to program what General Manager, Rob Quinn calls “Spanish adult contemporary,” geared more to bi-lingual/bi-cultural adults in Denver. KMXA-AM (1090) will eventually become “La Consentida” a Mexican oldies format that is being tested in California with great success. This gives Entravision Communications a total of four Spanish Radio Stations in Colorado.
Rob Quinn added, “The Hispanic population in Colorado is growing rapidly and Entravision Communications is committed to providing entertainment and information to this group. These four Spanish stations, coupled with Entravision Communications two Spanish-language television stations, will reach over 140,000 people and deliver music, news and breaking information serving a growing and dynamic market that is changing Colorado.”
