Adriana de Souza was promoted to director of promotional licensing and events for Cartoon Network and Boomerang for Latin America. The announcement was made today by Claudia Contreras, vice president of advertising sales for Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) Latin America, Inc.

In this position, de Souza will continue to be responsible for managing promotional licensing activities, live events and permanent licensing for the Cartoon Network Originals in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. De Souza is based in the Turner International Brazil office in São Paulo and reports to Claudia Contreras.

“Adriana’s dedication has been exceptional all these years, and her experience has brought Cartoon Network to a level of forming important partnerships in the area of licensing,” said Contreras. “We are certain that her work will continue to raise the value of our brands and properties.”

De Souza began working at Turner in July of 1999 as senior manager of promotional licensing and events for Cartoon Network Latin America. Before Turner, she held the position of manager for Tycoon Licensing, a large licensing agency of Mexican origin that represented Turner Home Entertainment in Brazil in 1996 and 1997. Prior to that, she worked for Redibra, Disney’s agent in Brazil; Mauricio of Sousa Produções; and São Paulo Alpargatas S.A.
