Sensación Marketing Creatives Launches Fútbol Mundial Magazine.

On Friday May 31st, 2002 marks the official start of FIFA World Cup 2002 in Seoul, Korea. Simultaneously, it also marks the launch of Fútbol Mundial, the only national Spanish-language soccer title boasting a circulation that exceeds 1 million copies in 15 markets throughout the US, including the top 8 Hispanic DMA’s. Fútbol Mundial, published by Sensación Marketing Creatives LLC is also the only national title that features the official Major League Soccer (MLS) Guide to World Cup 2002 and editorial from an international perspective.

“We launched Fútbol Mundial this year to continue developing media properties targeting the growing, untapped, and underserved US Hispanic sports fan and I am confident that these soccer fans will continue to refer back to this issue throughout the month especially for our complete guide of televised games. This collector’s edition promises to stay with readers from the inaugural game to the last golazo,” said publisher Felix Sención, when asked for the main reason he created this publication and how he believes the market will receive this new publication.

The editorial includes coverage of soccer internationally, the most comprehensive World Cup broadcast schedule that in one view allows you to plan your month in advance to follow your favorite team and all the participating countries, and the official MLS Guide to World Cup 2002. The next issue will be the September/October issue coinciding with Hispanic Heritage Month. The publisher will increase Fútbol Mundial’s frequency to quarterly by 2003.

The September/October editorial features include a re-cap of Copa Libertadores, the MLS playoffs, a World Cup re-cap including the performance of first time participant, Ecuador, and the start of the premier international leagues in South America, Mexico, and Europe.
