AOL LatAM & U.S. Navy Create Interactive Recruiting Campaign.

America Online Latin America, Inc., which programs AOL Latino (AOL Keyword: Latino) on the U.S. service, announced the creation of an interactive online recruiting campaign for the U.S. Navy. The campaign is designed to reach the U.S. Hispanic audience through the AOL Latino content destination.

Both advertising and content describing career opportunities in the U.S. Navy are being integrated throughout three of AOL Latino’s content areas: Roots, Community and English Extras. These areas feature special monthly tributes to Hispanics in the U.S. Navy, along with information including biographies, photographs and personal introductions for each tribute. AOL members also have one-click access to additional information available on the U.S. Navy’s official Hispanic Web site located at www.elnavy.com.

Peter Blacker, Vice President of Interactive Marketing for AOL Latin America, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Navy to promote the organization in a way that speaks directly to the U.S. Hispanic community. Our AOL Latino content area serves U.S. Hispanics looking for compelling Spanish-language content and other offerings relevant to their daily lives. This is a perfect venue for the integrated Navy recruitment program, which personalizes the service.”
