TBS Latin America New Ad Sales Team Structure.

Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) Latin America, Inc., announced a new structure for their advertising sales team. The announcement was made jointly by Kevin Razvi, executive vice president for news networks, TBS International, Inc.; Dave Dickman, executive vice president for entertainment, TBS International, Inc.; and Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president, TBS Latin America, Inc.

Gretchen Colón has been promoted to vice president of advertising sales, marketing and promotional licensing for all of TBS Latin America, Inc., responsible for on-air and interactive ad sales, and promotional licensing revenue for the company’s networks and Web sites. In addition, Colón will maintain her role in assisting with the supervision of TBS Latin America’s marketing efforts in the region.

Based in Miami, Colón oversees a pan-regional sales team responsible for the advertising sales and promotional licensing of Turner’s networks throughout the region, including CNN International, CNN en Español, TNT Latin America, TNT Argentina, TNT Brazil, TNT Mexico, Boomerang, Cartoon Network Latin America, Cartoon Network Argentina, Cartoon Network Brazil and Cartoon Network Mexico. She is also charged with the networks’ corresponding Web sites.

Colón manages personnel in Miami, and in the company’s regional sales offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mexico City, Mexico; and São Paulo, Brazil. Colón reports to Kevin Razvi, Dave Dickman and Juan Carlos Urdaneta. She most recently held the title of vice president of ad sales for Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

As part of the new structure, all of TBS Latin America’s local offices in the region will have a consolidated sales force that can pitch integrated sponsorship packages including TV media, Internet, promotional licensing and events.

“The structure and team we now have in place will allow us to better serve client needs with superior packages that are tailored to each part of the region,” said Dickman. “Latin America represents an important market for Turner, and I am confident that under Gretchen’s command, the team will have the focus and leverage needed in an increasingly competitive marketplace, and our clients will reap the benefits.”

Our sales team will now to able to work even closer with local clients who know that our networks are the most efficient way to target unique niche markets or a broad demographic.”

In Miami and Mexico, Claudia Contreras will continue to oversee both offices as vice president. In addition, she will now be responsible for managing the company’s promotional licensing business and will report directly to Colón. Leslie Mohler and Adriana de Souza, senior managers for promotional licensing and events for Cartoon Network Latin America, will now report to Contreras. Jose Bandes has been promoted to associate account executive of the Miami office.

In Argentina, Marta Cogorno has been promoted to advertising sales director for Turner International (TI) Argentina, a division of TBS Latin America Inc., responsible for all of the advertising sales revenues in Argentina and Chile. Cogorno’s responsibilities for both Argentina and Chile include developing sales strategies, building long-term partnerships with clients and ongoing projects for both TV and Interactive revenues.

In Brazil, Rafael Davini has been promoted to director of advertising sales for TI Brazil, responsible for all of the ad sales revenues in the country. He will also be charged with the supervision of interactive ad sales, marketing and communications for the Brazil office. Fernanda Baumhardt, interactive ad sales manager, will report to Davini and Adeline Cassin. Also in Brazil, Rogerio Castro, Ari Martire and Edgar Rosa title’s have been changed to Business Managers, as they now represent TI Brazil for all types of media and non traditional media sales including interactive and developing promotional licensing leads. Roberta Leite has been promoted to associate account executive for the territory.

Pan-regionally, Adeline Cassin will continue to have strategic interactive sales responsibilities as vice president. In addition, she will now be responsible for developing CNN’s advertising offering and will report directly to Colón.
