National Association Of Hispanic Publishers Convention – Business, Media & Government Leaders.

Celebrating 20 years of achievement, the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP) hosts its 17th Annual Convention in downtown Dallas on March 13-16 at the Fairmont Hotel. The keynote speakers at this year’s convention are Hector Barreto, Small Business Administration administrator; Terence McAuliffe, Democratic National Convention Chairman; Marta Sahagun de Fox, First Lady of Mexico; Santiago Creel, Mexico’s Foreign Minister and a video address from Senator Tom Daschle, Senate Majority Leader.

“Empowering our community has to be one of our highest priorities,” said Zeke Montes, NAHP President. “As Latino publishers, we must maintain awareness of our roles in providing information that is culturally-relevant and improving opportunities for Latinos in the United States”.

The announcement of results from NAHP’s in-depth Hispanic consumer and media study is one of the expected highlights of this year’s convention. A joint effort between the National Hispanic Press Foundation, Belden Associates and Mund Americas, the study will reveal detailed segmentation and specific behavioral patterns of the growing Hispanic market.

Among the discussion and case study seminars will be “60 Ways to Market to Hispanics,” “Latino Trends on the Internet,” “Role of Hispanic Print in Politics,” “Bringing Youth Into the Hispanic Publishing Family,” “How To Create an Advertising Team,” “20 Things Every Publisher and Marketing Director Should Know,” “Copyright & Trade Issues: Protecting Hard Copy & Electronic Content While Safeguarding Your Readers’ Identity” and a roundtable seminar with some of America’s largest Hispanic advertising agencies.
