López Negrete Communications Numero 2 Among Financial Ad Agencies In The USA.
January 20, 2002
López Negrete Communications has been named the country’s number two financial advertising agency in Financial Services Marketing magazine’s “2001 Top 10 Agencies” ranking published in the January/February 2002 issue.
“It is imperative for financial institutions to understand how to segment and appeal to multicultural consumer markets. Ad agencies that possess the marketing and creative skills to communicate with these markets are invaluable to financial institutions eager to have their brands resonate across the consumer landscape,” says Holly Sraeel, editor in chief of Financial Services Marketing. “Our annual ranking of the 10 best advertising shops details those agencies whose creative efforts clearly stand above the rest.”
“The implication of this recognition has many layers. First, as a Hispanic agency, to share the ranking with marketing icons like Fallon Worldwide, McCann-Erickson, Bozell, BBDO, and Ogilvy & Mather is quite a milestone,” said Alex López Negrete, president and chief creative officer of the 17-year-old, Houston-based Hispanic agency. “On a deeper level, being listed shows an industry shift recognizing the power of the Hispanic consumer segment and putting it on center stage.”
López Negrete attributes the ranking to his financial services clients including Bank of America, Visa U.S.A., and GEICO Direct. “We couldn’t have achieved this ranking without our clients’ sincere desire to do great work. They have given us the opportunity, the freedom, the trust and the tools we need to be best-in-class,” said López Negrete.
