The jury will also select cash prizewinners, including one $2,500 Grand Prize winner and five $1,000 First Prize winners in the categories of drama, comedy, documentary, experimental and animation. The cash prizewinning films will be screened at a special program and awards presentation at the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

In addition to HBO, sponsors of this year’s PlanetOut.com Short Movie Awards are the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and Paper magazine.
