Lights, Camera, Action @ TeleFutura Movies.
December 15, 2001
From dramas to mysteries, romance to comedy, and action to science fiction, no other broadcast television network comes close to the quality and variety of movies that will be featured seven days a week on TeleFutura. The biggest stars, the most famous movie titles, and the most unforgettable motion picture moments can be found all in Spanish during its “Cine de las Estrellas” (“All Star Movies”), a prime-time block that draws from the most comprehensive film library ever assembled for Spanish-language audiences.
Names such as Stallone, Antonio Banderas, Schwarzenegger, and Connery are just some of the luminaries that will light up the screen during “Cine De Las Estrellas,” which will present a double feature of blockbuster films every Monday through Sunday starting at 7:00 PM/6 Central. The popular phrase “something for everyone” truly takes new meaning during this All Star Movie block period as TeleFutura presents a different motion picture genre almost every night of the week. Dramas will dominate the screen on Mondays and Tuesdays; Wednesdays will feature a variety of Latin America’s best films; action/adventure style movies will take over Thursday and Friday nights; laughter and comedy will reign on Saturdays; and Sundays will feature a host of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster hits.
Movies are an integral part of TeleFutura’s programming line-up in the hours after prime time as well. From Monday through Sunday at 11:30 PM/10:30 Central the network will present “Cinescape,” a one-of-a-kind late-night film block that features a variety of renowned motion picture titles starring such famous actors as Al Pacino, Gregory Peck, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Gene Hackman.
Weekend afternoons wouldn’t be complete without an abundant array of first-rate films that are guaranteed to please even the most discriminating television viewer. On Saturdays and Sundays starting at 2:00 PM/1 Central, TeleFutura will present “Tanda Machos” (“Male Block”), a two-hour testosterone-tested time block that will feature non-stop action and excitement that no Hispanic male could live without. Superstars like John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Sergio Goyri and Andrés García, will fire-up the screen both days of the weekend, making this time period a must-see for men.
TeleFutura’s “De Película” (“At the Movies”) movie block will inject yet another dose of entertainment to the otherwise lazy weekend afternoon, airing at 4:00 PM/3 Central on Saturdays and Sundays. Featuring a variety of box office hits and many of Tinsel Town’s finest actors such as Robert Duvall and Christopher Reeve, “De Película” will definitely deliver the best of Hollywood to Hispanic homes.
Not to be left out from all the entertainment are those fun-loving teenagers. That’s why TeleFutura will offer them every Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11:00 AM/ 10 Central, “Cineplex” a unique movie block targeted to Hispanic young adults that will present Hollywood’s most popular flicks – featuring such classic teen idols as Molly Ringwald, John Cusak and Emilio Estevez — entirely in Spanish. Coming-of-age never looked better than on weekends on TeleFutura.
