TeleFutura Daytime.
December 15, 2001
Conversation reigns supreme on TeleFutura every weekday during daytime as the network presents some of the most innovative and compelling shows on television. Starting Tuesday, January 15th, middays for Hispanic viewers will never be the same, as pure mayhem will prevail when “El Escándalo del Mediodía” (“The Midday Scandal”) hits the airwaves. This lively program will cover everything from celebrities to catwalks, all the while adding a much-needed dose of humor and diversion to the lunchtime hour. Immediately following this midday madness is “Mónica,” an extraordinary talk show presented by one of Latin America’s most celebrated hosts, Mónica Zevallos. Her singular ability to reach people and engage them in candid conversation not only makes her show engaging viewing, but the perfect forum for discussing today’s relevant issues.
The most outrageous two hours on television can be found every Monday through Friday from 12 – 2 PM (ET) only on TeleFutura. “El Escándalo del Mediodía” is an entirely original show that will be broadcast LIVE and will feature a crazy combination of comedy, entertainment, talk and overall fun that viewers will just not be able to resist. Hosts Charytin Goyco, Gabriela Teissier, Marisa del Portillo and Felipe Viel will discuss such topics as current events, fashion, gossip, and celebrity news. Unique to the show will be the close interaction with the audience at home via the phone and the Internet through its daily segment entitled “La Central del Desahogo” (“Vent Central”), where viewers can voice their opinions on just about anything and everything. “El Chismoso” (“The Gossip”) is Spanish-language television’s best-informed telephone, able to instantly connect to the hottest celebrities and newsmakers, thereby creating “La Conexión del Chisme” (“The Gossip Connection”) between the show’s hosts and direct sources of the day’s gossip. Celebrities can look forward to candid interviews during the segment entitled “El Cuarto del Pecado” (“The Room of Sin”), where the hosts will ask the most daring questions, the ones everyone wants answers to. Laughter, loudness and lunacy will prevail in this wildly entertaining show that will single-handedly transformed midday television viewing.
Also starting Tuesday, January 15th, TeleFutura will bring viewers the unique perspective of Mónica Zevallos every Monday through Friday at 2:00 PM/1 Central through her own daytime talk show. “Mónica” will tackle the tough issues that affect everyone in their day-to-day lives and will present them in a way that touches people and draws them into the discussion. Hispanics everywhere won’t be able to get enough of this charismatic, opinionated, and beloved professional whose exceptional approach to the talk show format will have everyone tuning in to hear what she has to say.
