mun2 televisión Celebrates The New Year With Specialty Programs.

mun2 televisión offers a special holiday treat as the network celebrates Christmas and brings in the New Year with a variety of movies, holiday programming highlights and a New Year’s Eve special that will send viewers partying straight into 2002.

The celebration begins with feature presentations during “co-cine mun2”, the cook-in movie show hosted by Lorena and Leo, which airs Monday thru Friday at 2PM ET/PT. On Christmas Eve, co-cine mun2 will present “Un Niño Llamado Jesus,” (A boy named Jesus), a movie that has become a holiday tradition for Hispanics all over. This will be followed by “Feliz Navidad” “Merry Christmas” on the 25th, and “Feliz Año Amor Mio” (Happy New Year My Love) on New Year’s Eve.

FuZion, the program that offers the latest and best in entertainment, music and film from Monday thru Friday at 7PM ET/PT, takes a special trip to New York this holiday season. On the 24th and 25th, hosts Alfonso and Kenya offer viewers a look into the heart of this beloved city with footage of the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center, the beautiful window displays, and much more. On the 31st, the young hosts will present the “Best of FuZion”, a show being produced in New York featuring clips from FuZion’s most popular shows.

The first talk show to provide a forum for young Hispanics, “Chat,” also joins in the holiday festivities with interesting topics during this season. On December 24th, “Chat” hosts Ron, Karim, Paola, Carla and Richie will discuss the various Latin American traditions during “Cena de Navidad” (Christmas Dinner), while cooking special meals in their own homes. This will be followed by an interesting debate on “Que tan importantes son los regalos” (Just how important are gifts) on the 25th, and finally the topic of “Propósitos del Año Nuevo” (New Year’s Resolutions) on the 31st.

To warm up for the New Year, mun2 televisión will showcast the best 2001 videos during the music show block, which starts at 1PM ET/PT and features everything from salsa to hip hop. To culminate the evening, Chat, FuZion and co-cine mun2 will join together in a huge party that airs11PM to 1AM during the special titled “mun2 2002”. “Chat’s hosts will be at Club Space in Miami, and the gay club Coliseum in Fort Lauderdale; while FuZion will be club-hopping in New York and co-cine mun2 will join the fun from Lorena’s own restaurant in Miami. Together, they will present the hottest New Year’s countdown into 2002.

Finally, for those who missed it, here is a second chance to watch the birth of mun2 televisión. On January 1st, starting at 1PM ET/PT, viewers will be able to once again witness the beginning of mun2 as it launched into cable history with the first episodes of FuZion and Chat, and a special program celebration set at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk featuring spectacular performances by some of the hottest young Latin artists in the music industry including popular groups Aterciopelados, MDO, Big Boy, Tommy Torres and Yaire.
