TodoBebe.com celebrates its second birthday.
“We have just surpassed 50 thousand registered users and experience robust growth,” said editor and cofounder, Jeannette Kaplun. “Our weekly pregnancy, child-rearing and fertility newsletter subscribers have grown at a rate of 500% this year, which is not surprising considering the recent boom in Hispanic births.”
Besides investing in technology, TodoBebe increased its offerings, such as chat rooms, specialized columnists and personalized pregnancy reports that are emailed to users that request them. “We have a very close relationship with our users, which enables us to offer them new services according to their interests and get immediate feedback on our offerings,” explained Kaplun.
To further discover what “cyberparents” really want, the site frequently conducts online surveys and focus groups. The most recent poll obtained over 5 thousand responses in just one week. “This gives us and our advertisers invaluable information on the fast-growing Hispanic market, such as awareness of health issues, shopping habits, and how users access the Internet, among other topics.”
Monica Giraldo, who has vast experience in marketing and financial services in the US and Latin America, is the new Director of Client Relationships and New Business. Previously, she was sales channel manager at State Trust.
