Azteca America Taking ‘Baby Steps’ In The US Hispanic Market.

TV Azteca, S.A. de C.V. announced that Azteca America Network will affiliate with Pappas Telecasting Companies KUVR-TV, Channel 68 in Reno, Nevada.
“With this new affiliation, we bring our quality Spanish language programming to a larger audience, broadening the range of options for viewers and advertisers,” emphasized Pedro Padilla, CEO of TV Azteca. “The Hispanic- American population is eagerly waiting for new and exciting viewing alternatives in their language of preference, and we are looking forward to providing just that. We expect more affiliations soon.”
“This is only our second step in a race to capture the lucrative U.S. Hispanic market,” said Luis J. Echarte, President and CEO of Azteca America. “Reno is a strategic market in terms of Hispanic population growth, and income per household. KUVR-TV is a leading station in the Reno-Carson City, Nevada television market.”
