Fox Sports World Español Exclusive U.S. Broadcast Rights Of Colombian Futbol.

Fox Sports World Español announced it has acquired the exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the 2001 season of the Colombian
Futbol league including all matches of the Copa Mustang Championship. The network’s coverage began Friday, October 12 with America meeting Independiente Santa Fé at Pascual Guerrero Stadium in Cali. More than 40 games will be televised through May 2002 and includes both live and delayed matches.

With the acquisition of the Colombian league, Fox Sports World Español has built a solid foundation of continuous futbol programming currently comprised of leagues from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Mexico and England. Coupled with selected matches from the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, Major League Soccer and the U.S. Open Cup, the U.S. network remains unsurpassed in televised broadcast programming hours dedicated to futbol.

Fox Sports World Español is available through affiliated cable systems, and through DirecTV and Dish Network satellite providers throughout the United States.
