Telemundo scored the highest ratings for a sports program carried on Spanish-language television in the current 2000-2001 season with the live broadcast of the July 1st World Cup qualifier match between Mexico v USA (1:00PM – 3:00PM EST). This highly-anticipated match delivered an 11.9 rating in the sought-after men 18+ audience (1,203,000 viewers) and achieved triumphant ratings in all key male demographics: a 14.6 Rating among men 18-34; 14.0 Rtg among men 18-49, and 13.0 Rtg for men 25-54.
In fact, TELEMUNDO has delivered eight of the top 10 sports events in Spanish-language television this season (up to 7/8/01):
