Caroline Jones died on June 28, 2001 after a prolonged battle with cancer. She help build the awareness and viability of the African-American and Hispanic consumers in the US.
Beginning her career as a copywriter at J Walter Thompson, later she spent several years in other key mainstream agencies such as Kenyon & Eckhardt and BBD&O.
Her knowledge of advertising helped her launch three African-American focused agencies Zebra Associates, the Black Creative Group and later the agency placed her name in the marquee — Mingo Jones Advertising.
Ms. Jones became a mentor for many of the key executives in the business today.
