Univision Set Record June 18-49 Primetime Shares.

According to Nielsen Media Research, in June, Univision achieved a primetime Hispanic market share of 83% among the coveted Adult 18-49 demographic. This share steadily grew throughout the month, reaching 87% during the last week of June on the strength of two 90%+ share evenings, the first time these share levels had been attained with regularly scheduled programming since 1998. Univision’s June primetime ratings were up 15% among Adults 18-49, 22% among Adults 18-34, 23% among Men 18-49, 10% among Women 18-49, 41% among Hispanic Teens and 34% among Kids 2-11 compared to last year. These increases resulted in the highest-ever June audience deliveries among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-34 and Kids 2-11.

Univision enjoyed similar ratings success among the Adult 18-49 demographic across all major dayparts, including an increase of 18% during sign-on to sign-off, 5% during morning, 15% during daytime (registering its highest daytime rating performance ever), 5% during early fringe, and an astonishing 65% during late fringe compared to last June. During early fringe, Univision’s Teen ratings increased 89% compared to last June, setting a June Teen rating record for the daypart. In late fringe, Univision’s audience reached all-time highs among Adults, Women and Men 18-49 vs. last June, with respective increases of 65%, 59% and 70%.

During the month (through 6/24), Univision, which outranks all networks but the ‘big four,’ broadcast the top 45 Spanish-language programs and 22 out of the top 25 English or Spanish language programs among Hispanic Households. Among Hispanic Adults 18-49, Univision aired the top 37 Spanish-language programs and 22 out of the top 25 English or Spanish-language programs (through 6/24).
