HTVN On Cable In Houston.

Hispanic Television Network, Inc. announced over the weekend that in accordance with its recently signed long-term distribution contract with Time Warner Cable, it began airing June 4, 2001 in Houston.
The Houston launch enables the network to potentially reach over 600,000 subscribers through the new “Canales Latinos” Hispanic Tier that are part of the Houston Time Warner System. Programming will include news, entertainment and sports from the recently announced programming arrangement with CNI Canal 40 directly out of Mexico City in addition to HTVN productions.
Michael Fletcher, chief operating officer for HTVN commented, “HTVN is excited about Houston and other major metropolitan areas requesting HTVN programming. This is an important step for serving U.S. Hispanics with culturally relevant programming. HTVN is focused on the Mexican and the Mexican-American viewer and Time Warner Cable is demonstrating its commitment to diversity in entertainment and selection for its Hispanic audience.”
The Fall 2001 Programming tier is expected to be announced soon.
