La Agencia de Orcí Honored With International Mobius Awards.

La Agencia de Orcí & Asociados recently received two International Mobius Awards for elements of its 2000 Honda campaign. The 30th international Mobius Awards ceremony was held at the Chicago Cultural Center on February 8, 2001.

“It is an honor to be recognized by such an esteemed international awards competition in one of the most competitive categories. To compete successfully against general market submissions testifies to the growing strength of the creative in Hispanic campaigns,” noted Francisco Letelier, senior vice-president and creative director of La Agencia. “As Chicago’s newest Hispanic advertising agency, it is especially gratifying to accept the award here – in the fifth largest U.S. Hispanic market.”

La Agencia accepted awards in the automotive category for its radio commercial and print advertising entries. Automotive is an extremely competitive Mobius category and received the most submissions this year.

La Agencia was honored with a First Place Mobius Award statuette in the automotive category for the radio spot “Remix,” which it developed for American Honda’s Civic Coupe. La Agencia also received a Second Place “Certificate for Outstanding Creativity” in the automotive category for its print ad “Orange Juice,” part of a campaign for American Honda’s “Odyssey.”

“We have enjoyed nearly twelve years as the Hispanic marketing partner for American Honda,” noted Susan Casillas-Pérez, group account director at La Agencia for American Honda. “Honda’s commitment to the Hispanic community is an integral component to this success.”

The Mobius Advertising Awards is an international competition that honors outstanding advertising for television, radio, print and package design. The competition provides a forum through which advertising agencies, producers, art directors and designers, TV and radio stations, as well as corporate advertisers can attain recognition for their creative endeavors.
