ESPN Deportes exclusive Spanish-language Coverage of 2013 FIBA Americas Championship.

ESPN Deportes brings international basketball fans the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship from Caracas, Venezuela.  The network’s multiplatform coverage tips off Friday, August 30 at 5:30 p.m. ET when Puerto Rico and Brazil take the court.
 
ESPN Deportes TV and ESPN Deportes+, the network’s ESPN3 extension accessible via ESPNdeportes.com, will carry 16 live tournament games. ESPN Deportes’ Robert Abramowitz, Pablo Viruega, Fernando Alvarez and Jerry Olaya will call the games.
 
The biannual tournament features 10 national teams from the Americas who are competing to represent their countries in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.  Some notable players who have participated in the past are: Steve Nash, Manu Ginobili, Al Horford, Luis Scola and J.J. Barea. Argentina is looking to keep the America’s title after taking the tournament in 2011.
