Vidal wins Oscar

Oscar, a new health insurance provider, has named New York-based The Vidal Partnership (TVP) as its agency of record for all their Hispanic marketing needs.

Oscar announced it would be offering health insurance across New York City and the surrounding areas starting this fall. Oscar is a new type of health insurance designed specifically for New Yorkers, providing an experience never before available. Oscar is fully licensed with New York State and will offer individual and family health insurance coverage.

Antonio Ruiz, Partner at The Vidal Partnership said, “Oscar recognized our proven track record of helping startups accelerate their marketing communication from what their product does to what their product means to consumers and that, because of our entrepreneurial and independent roots, we share the same energy and enthusiasm as a startup.” Ruiz also mentions they are very excited to work with Oscar’s accomplished founders, Kevin Nazemi, Josh Kushner and Mario Schlosser, as well as top healthcare veterans with over 250 years of combined experience in the industry.

Oscar has already raised $40 million from Thrive Capital, Founders Fund, General Catalyst and Khosla Ventures.

According to Kevin Nazemi, “we know that our brand needs a Hispanic specialist agency to ensure that it connects and resonates with Hispanics, as almost half of all uninsured in New York City are Hispanic.” Nazemi added, “TVP will get to do great branding and acquisition advertising, event marketing, and digital and social media work for us.”
