Nagrani named SVP & GM of Digital at Univision

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Mehul Nagrani to senior vice president and general manager, Digital. Nagrani, formerly senior vice president, Digital Operations, will continue to be based in New York and report to Kevin Conroy, president, Digital and Enterprise Development.

“I am pleased to congratulate Mehul on his expanded role,” said Conroy. “His appointment marks an important step in Univision’s efforts to continue to strengthen and improve our Product, Technology and Content offering, foster innovation and deliver long-term, sustained growth.”

Nagrani will have expanded responsibilities which will include leadership of Univision’s Product and Technology teams, as well as Revenue Operations and Analytics. He will be working closely with the Content organization to ensure that Univision achieves the optimal content mix of long-form and short-form content to reach our audience in new and innovative ways. Additionally, Nagrani will also work closely with Univision’s Sales and Finance teams.

Nagrani joined Univision in 2011 and will lead efforts surrounding UVideos, Univision’s bilingual digital video network, and Digital Music, and work closely with Univision Network and Univision Radio to lead the development and implementation of Uforia, Univision’s digital music strategy. Prior to his Digital roles, Nagrani served as special assistant to the CEO. He was a key member of the leadership team driving cross-divisional initiatives and collaboration across Univision. While at the Office of the CEO, he created a program to attract young leaders to work at Univision and many of these executives now have roles in Programming, Distribution, Social Media and Ad Sales. Prior to joining Univision, Nagrani worked within the Media & Technology practice at McKinsey and also designed memory chips at Micron and processors at Intel.
