El Rey Network adds to team

El Rey Network announced an expansion of its Ad Sales team with three hires including Renée Mizrahi, named Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Ad Sales; and Melissa Viele Kearney and Chris Owen as Account Executives. Based in the company’s New York headquarters, all will report into Michael Finn, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Finn said: “Renée, Melissa and Chris are incredibly talented executives and their diverse experience and keen insights into our target audience will be a great asset as we continue to build out El Rey Network’s unique, renegade, entertainment brand.”
Renée Mizrahi has over 15 years of experience in Mobile, Digital and Television ad sales marketing. Most recently, Renée served as Vice President, Integrated Marketing & Account Services at start-up Viggle, a second screen app for television. Previously, Renée worked at CBS Interactive where she was the Director of Marketing responsible for CBS Interactive corporate marketing positioning & custom solutions lead for CBS’ Entertainment and Sports brands. Renée also held marketing positions at major media companies including The Knot Inc., Star Magazine, and Meredith Corporation.
Melissa Viele Kearney joins El Rey Network from Screenvision, where she created customized experiences for categories including packaged goods, automotive and wireless with on-screen, mobile and texting platforms. She began her media career at MediaCom working on Warner Bros. Theatrical and progressed from an Assistant Buyer to a Supervisor at Wieden + Kennedy in New York working on well-known brands including ABC Television, EA Games and Starbucks.
Chris Owen joins El Rey Network as Account Executive with almost a decade of sales and agency experience. Most recently, Chris was at ESPN where he pitched sponsorships for the Global Expansion of ESPN X Games to blue chip companies. Prior to ESPN, Chris garnered a great knowledge of the millennial generation while working on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU at Viacom. He began his media career at Zenithmedia, progressing from an entry level role to Sr. Buyer in just three years where he helped transition two major accounts, Nestlé and 20th Century FOX to the agency.
