Sanchez named EVP & GM of FOX Deportes

FOX Deportes announced that Carlos Sanchez will join the company as Executive Vice President and General Manager.  Sanchez will report to Jeff Krolik, President, FOX Sports Regional Networks.
 
“Carlos is a talented executive with an impressive track record,” said Krolik.  “We look forward to his leading FOX Deportes and solidifying the network as the leader in Spanish-language sports television.”

Sanchez joins FOX Deportes from Telemundo WNJU-TV in New York, where he served as President and General Manager, leading the station to multiple New York Emmy® Awards, including best “Evening Newscast” in 2012.  In addition, Sanchez oversaw a major overhaul of the station’s content and technology, which included launching new weekend and morning newscasts and upgrading its facilities into a state-of-the-art studio, set, and control room.  
 
Prior to his role with Telemundo in New York, Sanchez was Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo stations in Las Vegas and Denver from 2005-2008.  During his tenure, he oversaw the acquisition and integration of the Las Vegas station into the NBC Universal owned-and-operated stations group.
