2014 Puerto Rico Basketball League Season to air on WAPA America

WAPA America has exclusive rights to air the 2014 Puerto Rico Basketball League season, including regular season games and playoffs. WAPA America has approximately 5.5 million U.S. subscribers and is distributed by all major cable, satellite and telco providers.

The Puerto Rico Basketball League (BSN, for its Spanish acronym) season kicks off on Tuesday, March 25, at 8pm ET, when defending champions Los Piratas de Quebradillas (The Quebradillas Pirates) face off against Los Caciques de Humacao (The Humacao Chiefs).

Ten teams will make up the 2014 tournament, with each playing 36 games during the regular season. WAPA America will air four games per week; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8pm ET, and Sundays at 7pm ET. All games will air live.

“WAPA America is proud to offer our U.S. viewers exclusive access to the Puerto Rico Basketball League season for the third consecutive year,” said Jose E. Ramos, President of WAPA Television. “BSN is the principal basketball league in Puerto Rico, and this is a tremendous opportunity for advertisers to reach the vast base of US Hispanic basketball fans.”
