EL CÍRCULO announces Winners of Young Creatives Contest

Círculo Creativo is pleased to announce the winners for this year’s Young Creatives Contest and Not So Young Creatives Contest.  The brief entailed ideating a TV or Cyber piece for La Cocina VA, a non-profit organization that generates job opportunities for the unemployed through job training in the hospitality and food service industries. The judges panel this year was, as always, comprised of a panel of creatives from outside the U.S. Hispanic market. Winners were announced on May 5th.

Paty Funegra, of La Cocina VA states, “La Cocina VA is proud and honored to have participated in such an important event as the inspiration to generate energy and creativity to support our cause. The innovative approaches presented by the contestants represent an important tool to successfully communicate our mission and help unemployed Hispanics to obtain career certification and real job opportunities. We thank Circulo Creativo and all the contestants for their support and interest in helping us transform lives within the Hispanic community”.

The Young Creatives Film prize went to Annick Hernandez and Graham Davis, of Grupo Gallegos with their idea entitled, “ Plating.”  Rounding out the Cyber Young Creatives, the top prize went to Maddy Kramer, freelancer, and Marcela Angeles from Conill with their idea “La Mesa at Open Table”.   The winning teams will be traveling to the Cannes Festival next month where they will represent the U.S. Hispanic Market at the Cannes Young Lions Contest.
The “Not So” Young Creatives contest came about 5 years ago in response to many Circulo members jokingly asking when Circulo would be sending the “viejos” to Cannes to broaden their knowledge.  It is by and large Circulo’s biggest contest having yielded winners from a variety of agencies in the past.  The winners of the 2014 Not So Young Creatives Contest were Miguel Ullivarri and Christian Liu from Alma DDB, a team who has twice been in the top 3 in the past years.

These Contests would not be possible without Circulo’s gracious sponsors, whose participation and generosity shows their support of Hispanic market advertising.  These events assist in exposing these young professionals to the best creativity the past year will have produced.  A warm thank you to Kreative Kontent, Parana Films, The Mill, Landia, Leo Burnett Group and Mazola.
