Mexicanal renews “El Rayo Vida de Lucha”

Mexicanal has announced the renewal of its original production, “El Rayo Vida de Lucha,” an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the life of famed Mexican wrestler, promoter and family man, Juan Padron Luna, AKA “Rayo de Plata.”

Set in San Luis Potosi and Mexico’s Bajío region, the series’ first 13 half-hour episodes have chronicled the strong ties and often blurred lines in Juan Padron’s relationships with loved ones, employees and wrestlers, as he manages an arena and family dynasty of “luchadores.” On Sunday’s season finale, viewers may learn what the doctors say about Juan Padron’s health and whether he will be able to keep his Rayo de Plata dynasty together.
