Mayzurk named SVP Operations and Technology at Telemundo and mun2

NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content announced the appointment of Jeff Mayzurk to Senior Vice President, Operations and Technology.  He will be based in Miami and will be responsible for developing and executing technology strategy across all business units, including Telemundo Network and Studios, Telemundo International and mun2. He will oversee all operations, technology and facilities teams and be tasked with evolving network architecture, including supporting systems and technologies.

“Jeff brings a wealth of experience to our team. His extensive technical knowledge and focus on innovation will help transform our operations for greater success,” said Marlene Sanchez Dooner, Executive Vice President, Hispanic Enterprises and Content.

Mayzurk was formerly Senior Vice President, Studio Operations of NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technical Services Division, where he was responsible for technical operations, engineering and technology strategy. Mayzurk was also the General Manager, West Coast Technical Operations for NBCUniversal TV Operations in Burbank, CA and led the efforts to design, plan and build a new broadcast facility for several of the Burbank-based television partners.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Mayzurk served as Chief Technology Officer for Comcast Entertainment Group (CEG), where he was responsible for technology strategy, systems development and worldwide technical operations. His efforts to integrate broadcast engineering disciplines with IT and new media technology there resulted in numerous innovations, including an award-winning media asset management system and a next-generation network origination platform that enabled CEG to cost-effectively grow its international distribution footprint.

Before Comcast, Jeff held positions at E! Entertainment Television, CNET, and Sierra Entertainment.
