Amaro named co-anchor for Noticias 60 Telemundo in San Antonio

Telemundo 60 San Antonio announced that Arlena Amaro has been named co-anchor for Noticias 60 Telemundo weekdays at 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM. She will join co-anchor Alex Hernandez, weather anchor Lilian Perez, sports anchor Johnathan Solarte and an enterprising team of reporters to deliver breaking news and up-to-the-minute information about issues affecting the Hispanic community in San Antonio.

Amaro joins Telemundo 60 from Univision 23 Miami / WLTV, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and correspondent for Noticiero Univision, Edición Nocturna and Despierta América from 2010 to 2014. Prior to this, she worked at GenTV 8 / WGEN as a legal reporter from 2009 to 2010. Amaro also worked at America CV Network in Miami as an anchor and reporter from 2007 to 2009 and at America Teve in Miami throughout 2007 as a reporter. She began her broadcast career in 2006 as an Assistant Producer for Noticiero Univision.
