Diaz named VP of Insights & Strategy at NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content

NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content announced the appointment of Reny Diaz to Vice President of Insights & Strategy, reporting to Jacqueline Hernandez, Chief Marketing Officer. Diaz will be based in New York.

In this newly created role, Diaz will be responsible for the development of data analysis, framing actionable insights and creating long term strategies for growing Hispanic audiences across the NBCUniversal portfolio of brands and business divisions including Entertainment, News, Sports, Digital, Theme Parks and Universal Pictures. Diaz will work collaboratively within the portfolio in the planning, creation and communication of research-based strategies and innovations and will serve as an integral member of the Hispanic Enterprises and Content leadership team responsible for driving audiences and revenue to NBCU multiplatforms.

“Diaz’s knowledge and wealth of experience in research and mining insights make him a great asset to our growing leadership team,” said Hernandez. “He understands the rapidly changing media landscape, with an emphasis on the Hispanic and millennial consumer of content across platforms.”

Previously, Diaz was Research Director at FUSION and Univisión Noticias, where he led the research and insights team. In 2008, he was appointed as Director of Client Engagement at Nielsen, supporting the advancement of Nielsen’s Latino thought leadership strategy and the company’s internal Latino measurement initiatives. He also served as product lead for Nielsen TV Ratings, the first media research product on the company’s MediaView platform.
