Crónica de Castas on NBC UNIVERSO

NBC UNIVERSO, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, premieres the second episode of the scripted mini-series from Mexico, “Crónica de Castas,” this Sunday, April 26 at 10pm ET/PT. Last week’s premiere episode introduced Raul, a taxi driver who is on a mission to uncover his family secrets, and Lucia, an upper-class girl who suffers repeated abuses at the hand of her mother’s boyfriend.

In Sunday’s new episode, we find Raul making an important discovery that brings him closer to the truth regarding his father’s death. Meanwhile, Lucia, having escaped from her abusive household, finds a room for rent at Hotel Galicia where she pursues her dream of becoming a tattoo artist.  Another resident of the ‘Barrio Bravo,’ Camilo, a charismatic gay man and former soccer star, agrees to play for a new soccer league outside of Tepito where he meets Manlio, who plays on an opposing team with upper-class roots. Prejudices soon develop between the teams and things become more complicated when Camilo falls for Manlio, who struggles to come to terms with his sexual preference, leading to a dramatic encounter.

Subscribers of NBC UNIVERSO on participating cable, satellite, and telco services can also stream episodes live on www.NBCUniverso.com and the NBC UNIVERSO NOW app by entering the subscriber’s log-in information, as well as catch-up on those platforms and on Video on Demand.  Each episode is subtitled in English.  New episodes will air weekly on the network on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT.

“Crónica de Castas” is a co-production from Canal Once Mexico and Ojo De Hacha Productions.
