FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 on Telemundo and NBC Universo

TELEMUNDO, NBC UNIVERSO AND NBCDeportes.com present the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™, June 6 through July 5, marking the first time ever that all 52 matches of this tournament will be available in Spanish in the US. The action will start on Saturday, June 6 at 5:30PM/4:30C/2:30P, when host Canada faces China in the tournament’s opening game.

TELEMUNDO will air this match, as well as all of the Mexican women’s team’s first round games: Mexico vs. Colombia, Tuesday, June 9 at 3:30PM/2:30C/12:30P; Mexico vs. England, Saturday, June 13 at 3:30PM/2:30C/12:30P; and Mexico vs. France, Wednesday, June 17 at 3:30PM/2:30C/12:30P. NBC UNIVERSO will broadcast all first round matches of the USA national team: USA vs. Australia, June 8 at 7PM/6C/4P, USA vs. Sweden, June 12 at 7:30PM/6:30C/4:30P, and Nigeria vs. USA, June 16 at 7:30PM/6:30C/4:30P. And on Sunday, July 5 at 6:30PM, the final will be broadcast on TELEMUNDO, returning to Spanish-language TV after an eight-year absence. For this event, NBC Deportes has assembled a stellar team of sportscast professionals led by Emmy Award-winner Andrés Cantor and featuring three-time top Mexican scorer Carlos Hermosillo, veteran commentator Sammy Sadovnik, and former Chivas de Guadalajara star Manuel Sol. Former Mexican Women’s National Team captain and FIFA consultant, Andrea Rodebaugh, will join the team to provide commentary and analysis. Also on hand will be Ana Jurka, Leti Coo, Daniela Rodríguez and Francisco Cuevas, who will bring viewers the latest news from the field as well as exclusive interviews and human interest stories.

Audiences will have the option of watching every one of the tournament’s 52 matches along with exclusive digital content on the NBC DEPORTES EN VIVO EXTRA mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The NBCDeportes.com website will also offer all of the games, including exclusive video from the Canadian stadiums and host cities; pre- and post-game information; highlights of the best goals and plays; player profiles; analysis and commentary by NBC Deportes experts; and much more.

The networks’ extensive coverage will continue with three other FIFA tournaments this year: the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015 (May 30-June 20), the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 (July 9-19), and the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015 (October 17-November 8).
