Daisy Expósito-Ulla/ Chairman/ CEO of d expósito & Partners accepts the AEF’s Agency of the Year Award

In a gesture of generosity, Daisy Expósito-Ulla shares her Award of Agency of the Year with all Hispanic and Multicultural agencies in the U.S.
 
In a twist of gratitude from the personal to the collective, Daisy Expósito-Ulla accepted the Agency of the Year Award from the AEF remarking that she, “dedicated it to all the multicultural agencies in the United States, especially, the Hispanic agencies!” She went on to say that “This recognition validates our place in the history of American Advertising.”
 
The award to Expósito-Ulla and d expósito & Partners as Agency of the Year was introduced by Stephanie Kugelman, former Vice-Chair, Young & Rubicam, who described the recipient of the award as “a true trailblazer in our industry, not only a pioneer but a respected authority.” Kugelman told the story of how Expósito-Ulla had built the “largest multicultural agency to this day at Y&R; and how with her husband and partner, Jorge Ulla, had now built a successful independent agency, d expósito & Partners.” She quoted the late ambassador Ed Ney, former Y&R Chairman, who described Daisy saying “she has written the most serious Madison Avenue success story ever written by a woman that was not born in the United States.”
 
In her acceptance speech this evening at the Advertising Educational Foundation, the head of d expósito & Partners expressed her gratitude to the AEF and its President, Paula Alex. She also shared the award with her former colleagues at Young & Rubicam, The Bravo Group and WPP.
