Telemundo 48 “Fiesta Gigantes”

The San Francisco Giants and broadcast partners NBC Bay Area, Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia (KSTS) and CSN Bay Area will mark this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month with a first-time, live, Spanish- language telecast of a Giants’ game.

Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia, the official Spanish-language television partner of the San Francisco Giants, will air the authentically produced Giants versus Padres game from AT&T Park on Saturday, September 12, beginning at 6 p.m. The game will be called by Erwin Higueros, longtime Giants’ Spanish- language broadcaster and Telemundo 48’s Sports Anchor Gabriel Sotelo. Special guests will join them on the telecast throughout the game, including Giants’ Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda and current Giants’ Spanish- language broadcaster and former player Tito Fuentes.

“Giants baseball is a passion that is lived by all of our communities, from the first pitch to the final seconds of the last inning and beyond. We look forward to giving our viewers the opportunity to watch, for the first-time ever, a live Giants game broadcast in Spanish right here on Telemundo 48,” said Rich Cerussi, President and General Manager, Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia and NBC Bay Area.

The Spanish-language telecast will also cover the Giants and Telemundo 48’s annual “Fiesta Gigantes” presented by Coors Light festival at AT&T Park. “Fiesta Gigantes” will feature live music from Suenatron and Rocio Y Su Sonora, food, arts & crafts, entertainers and community resource booths all highlighting and celebrating the Bay Area’s Hispanic heritage.
