Rausseo promoted to News Anchor at Telemundo Denver

Telemundo Denver / KDEN announced that Carlos Rausseo has been promoted to News Anchor, effective immediately. Rausseo, who joined Telemundo Denver in 2011 as a multimedia journalist and most recently worked as KDEN’s Sports Anchor, will join News Co-Anchor Pamela Padilla and Weather Anchor Ariel Rivera on Noticiero Telemundo Denver, which airs on weekdays at 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM. Rausseo is an enterprising journalist who has delivered the most impactful news for Colorado’s Spanish-speaking community, including the Denver Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 victory and the Aurora Theater Shooting trial. He’s also provided viewers with behind-the-scenes sports action through exclusive interviews with the Colorado Rockies, among others.

“Carlos is a key player on our news team and a very well-known member of the community,” said Pedro Calderón, News Director, Telemundo Denver. “He joined Telemundo Denver when the station first launched and since then, his passionate story telling has allowed him to report the news and information that matters most to the communities we serve.”

An award-winning journalist, Rausseo has been recognized with two Emmy awards and eight Colorado Broadcaster’s Association (CBA) awards. Among his award-winning journalism is a report that highlights the work performed by cleaning crews around the country, which received a CBA award in the “Best General Assignment Report within 24 Hours.” Additionally, his special coverage of the political Crisis in Venezuela was also distinguished with a CBA award. Before joining Telemundo Denver, Rausseo worked as a video journalist at Univision Colorado / KCEC from 2006 to 2011.
