July 30, 2016
Centroamérica TV has acquired the exclusive U.S. rights to air the first division soccer tournaments of El Salvador and Costa Rica. Viewers can enjoy the complete 2016 season of the “2016 Torneo Apertura” of El Salvador and the “2016 Campeonato de Invierno” of Costa Rica, which will run through December on Centroamérica TV.
“Soccer is a source of great national pride among Hispanics, and we’re proud to be the home of the club teams of El Salvador and Costa Rica. Centroamérica TV is committed to delivering the very best sports programming to the Central American community,” said Francisco Gimenez, general manager of cable networks of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., Centroamérica TV’s parent company.
The “Torneo Apertura” of El Salvador will feature long-standing rivalries such as C.D. Águila vs. C.D. F.A.S and Alianza FC vs. AD Isidro Metapán, as they fiercely battle for this year’s championship title. All games broadcast on Centroamérica TV will be exclusively available to its subscribers.
From the Costa Rican League, Primera Division clubs such as Deportivo Saprissa, Alajuelense, and Herediano will compete for the championship of the “Campeonato de Invierno,” exclusively on Centroamérica TV.
