Martínez named News Director for Univision Austin

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Ismael Martínez as News Director for Univision Austin. He will be based in Austin, reporting to Vice President and General Manager of Univision Austin Danny Lowry.

Martínez most recently served as News and Operations Supervisor for KWEX 41 Univision San Antonio, organizing day-to-day workflow and special projects for the News team and coordinating coverage of major events.

Prior to his work for Univision San Antonio, Martínez served under numerous capacities at Univision Austin’s KAKW 62 from 2003 to 2014. During this time, he worked as news director, executive producer, and assignments director & producer.
