Telemundo kicks off production of “100 Días Para Enamorarnos”

Telemundo officially announced the start of production for “100 Días Para Enamorarnos” (100 Days To Fall In Love), a romantic comedy starring Ilse Salas (Las Niñas Bien; Cantinflas), Mariana Treviño (Casa de las Flores; Overboard), Erick Elías (Betty en NY; Hotel de los Secretos) and David Chocarro (El Recluso; Señora Acero) with a special participation by Humberto Zurita (La Reina del Sur; La Querida del Centauro). The ensemble of stars also includes Hector Suárez Gomís, Sylvia Sáenz, Sofía Lama, Andrés Almeida, Manuel Balbi, Lucas Velázquez and Daniela Bascopé. Following the success of “Betty en NY,” this is the second series to be filmed at Telemundo Center’s state-of-the-art studios in Miami, Florida.

“Telemundo always aims to create new and relevant content for the US Spanish-speaking audience,” said Marcos Santana, President of Telemundo Global Studios. “With ‘100 Días Para Enamorarnos’ we have universal stories told through relatable characters, in a way that will entertain the whole family. We are very proud and excited to bring this story to our screen”.

The story chronicles the life of two best friends, Constanza Franco (Salas), a successful and sophisticated lawyer, mother and wife; and Remedios Rivera (Treviño), a loving mother and wife, who, contrary to her friend, is a free-spirit struggling to keep her life in order. After almost 20 years of marriage, the two friends decide to separate from their respective spouses. Remedios is conflicted after her first love comes back into her life; while Constanza comes to an agreement with her husband to take a 100-day hiatus. Once the 100-day break is up, she must decide whether to stay married or not.

A Telemundo Global Studios production, “100 Días Para Enamorarnos” is directed by Jorge Colón, Mariano Ardanaz and Fez Noriega with Marcos Santana and Miguel Varoni as executive producers, Elizabeth Suarez as general producer and script adaptation by Ricardo Álvarez Canales. Created by Sebastián Ortega, the original “100 Días Para Enamorarse” premiered in Argentina in 2017, becoming the most watched series of the year and earning multiple awards and recognitions.
