Estrada named Head of Univision’s Government Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility

Univision Communications Inc. announced its appointment of Ron Estrada as Senior Vice President, Head of Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility, following the departure of Jessica Herrera-Flanigan, who has been leading those efforts for the company. Estrada, who has been with the company for six years, will oversee the company’s government relations and public policy team in addition to continuing to lead all corporate social responsibility and social impact initiatives. He will report to Chief Legal & Corporate Affairs Officer Jonathan Schwartz.

A veteran in the space, Estrada has forged deep ties to crucial stakeholders, including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. His vast experience in the community, which includes his role as a former vice president role at UnidosUS, provides him with unique insights to help ensure that non-profits around the country continue to partner and strengthen Univision’s work on behalf of Hispanic America. In recent months, Estrada has led crucial visits to state capitols around the country and has spearheaded Univision’s successful Cuenta Conmigo (Count with Me) and Vota Conmigo (Vote with Me) civic engagement programs. He has also overseen the coordination of community empowerment directors and local philanthropic activities, playing a critical role in synchronizing Univision’s efforts.
