CNN en Español launches new live shows from Argentina and Mexico

Anchors Gabriela Frias and Nacho Giron will lead the network’s new programs from Mexico City and Buenos Aires.

CNN en Español has launched two new shows and a new general programming proposal that will expand the network’s multiplatform portfolio by offering more breaking news, current affairs and headlines from around the world, with special emphasis on Latin American regional content.

Starting at 7 A.M. ET live from Buenos Aires, journalist Nuria Am will be hosting “Primera Mañana.” In this “radio on television” format, the audience will start the day with the most relevant information from around the world. During this show, the network’s correspondents from around the world will share current events and topics of interest to the viewers.

From 1 to 3 PM ET, journalist Nacho Girón will be integrated into the programming directly from Argentina in “CNN Redacción with Nacho Girón.” Live from Buenos Aires, this two-hour program will present current issues and trends, as well as breaking news related to Latin America and the rest of the world.

The afternoon’s programming continues with journalist, Gabriela Frias. From 3 to 5 p.m. ET “CNN Redacción with Gabriela Frias” begins its live broadcast from Mexico. Frias will present interviews and news from around the world focused on Mexico, the United States, Central America and the Caribbean. Within this show, the segment “Portafolio Global” will be integrated, where the economic and business news of the day will be discussed.

As part of the changes in the network’s programming, “Directo USA,” presented by Juan Carlos López from Washington, will be broadcast at 5 p.m. ET, while “Panorama Mundial,” the newscast presented by María Alejandra Requena, will move to prime time from 8 to 9 PM. (EST).  

Additionally, the network will have two special shows on digital platforms:

Guillermo Arduino will present “Encuentro” from Monday to Friday at cnnespanol.cnn.com and all the digital platforms of CNN en Español. Arduino will share news and trends related to science, technology, health, environment, as well as the industries that impact different communities in the United States and the rest of the world.
 
“CNN Dinero,” hosted by Xavier Serbiá, will air Monday through Friday at 7 PM. ET through cnnespanol.cnn.com and the different digital platforms of the network. Serbiá will cover topics related to finance, business and the economy. It will also be broadcast on Saturdays at 7 P.M. (EST).
