Telemundo to premiere ‘LA CASA DE LOS FAMOSOS’

Unfiltered and unparalleled define the 2021 arrival of La Casa de los Famosos to Telemundo, an outrageous new primetime reality competition premiering live on Tuesday, August 24 at 7pm/6c. Coproduced by Telemundo and unscripted entertainment leader Endemol Shine Boomdog, creators of the global phenomenon Big Brother VIP, La Casa de los Famosos features a house full of popular Hispanic figures all living under one roof in complete isolation. Cut off from the outside world and their families, these famed participants must live without cell phones, the internet, social media, or TV. Airing weeknights, during each two-hour live episode full of drama and fun, audiences will witness the housemates forging alliances or strategizing their eliminations until only one remains standing, winning a grand cash prize. In addition, viewers can enhance their experience on Telemundo.com with 24/7 access through an unfiltered and uncut live streaming feed.

“We are thrilled to bring our audiences La Casa de los Famosos, a TV show the entire family will enjoy,” said Ronald Day, President, Entertainment and Content, Telemundo. “Not only will viewers get to see first-hand ‘the good, bad, and the ugly’ of these celebrities as they are forced to live together, but they will also witness how the house itself becomes a character in the story, setting rules and changing the game week to week.  We are certain this will become the most famous house on US Hispanic television.”

Promising episodes full of surprises, each week La Casa de los Famosos participants will play for survival as they risk being eliminated by the audience, who will vote via Telemundo.com to determine who leaves the house and who will ultimately win the competition. The show is shot entirely in a specially built house, equipped with bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, storage and meeting rooms, lounge, terrace, garden with pool and jacuzzi, gym, and bathrooms. The production makes use of over 50 hidden cameras and 60 microphones to capture every single aspect of the structure, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing no room for the participants to hide secrets, alliances, or strategic plans. Starring an array of Latin luminaries from different origins, backgrounds, personalities, attitudes, and generations, the series opens more than a window into their most intimate moments while witnessing their co-living dynamics. Audiences will discover the humanity behind the famous faces, who will endure an “anything can happen” life inside the house from friendship to romance or confrontations.
