Sara Ahmad-Visomirski named VP Creative Services & Community Relations for Telemundo 51 in Miami.

After launching her career in marketing for TV and broadcasting more than three decades ago as an intern for WPLG-TV, Sara Ahmad-Visomirski returns to South Florida to lead marketing and community affairs as Vice President of Creative Services and Community Relations for Telemundo 51 / WSCV and NBC 6 / WTVJ, NBCUniversal’s TV stations that serve Spanish and English-speaking audiences in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale DMA. She will report to Jorge Carballo, President and General Manager for Telemundo 51 and NBC 6.

Ahmad-Visomirski brings her vast experience in Creative Services/Marketing and Community Affairs for local television to WSCV & WTVJ after working at Paramount’s stations in Philadelphia, KYW-TV and WPSG-TV, for 13 years as Vice President and Director of Creative Services. At CBS3 and The CW Philly, she helped develop content and brand strategies for news and severe weather, investigations, community efforts, and created campaigns that spotlighted and celebrated the neighborhoods and people that made the DMA unique. Sara also charted the stations’ grant program aimed at helping local, women-and-minority-owned small businesses in the market get funding and advertising support. The program was named a national 2022 “Service to America Awards” finalist by The NAB Leadership Foundation.

Before this, Ahmad-Visomirski has held positions in creative services, sales marketing, programming and traffic at TV stations all around the country. She has served as Director of Creative Services for Kansas City’s KCTV-TV and KSMO-TV and West Palm Beach’s WPBF-TV. In addition, she worked as Assistant Creative Services Director for WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, PA, and held sales marketing roles at WTVX-TV and WTCN-TV in West Palm Beach, and worked as on-air promotion writer/producer for KDFW-TV in Dallas Fort Worth. She launched her career at WPLG-TV in Miami.
