Telemundo Deportes coverage of 2022 NFL season

Telemundo Deportes announced its coverage plans for the 2022 NFL season, beginning with the NFL Kickoff Game between the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 8:20 p.m. ET live on Universo, TelemundoDeportes.com and the Telemundo Deportes app.

Telemundo Deportes will provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the entire NBC Sunday Night Football package with 20 regular season games, including this Thursday’s NFL Kickoff Game, 18 regular-season Sunday Night Football games, and the annual Thanksgiving night game, which will air on Telemundo and wrap up a day of fútbol and football. Telemundo Deportes will present three playoff matchups, including a Divisional Playoff game and two Wild Card Playoff games. All 23 NFL games this season will also be available on live stream via TelemundoDeportes.com and the Telemundo Deportes app.

Telemundo Deportes introduces new Sunday Night Football announce team with Emmy-award winning sports journalist, anchor and host Miguel Gurwitz and former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Rolando Cantu to call the games this 2022 season with Ariana Figuera and Jorge Andres serving as analysts and supporting the pre- and post-game studio coverage.

Gurwitz will debut as the network’s NFL play-by-play announcer starting with the NFL Kickoff Game this Thursday officially crossing over from fútbol to football and delivering coverage for both sports, including a day that will feature both starting with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and wrapping up with the NFL night game between the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving Day.

All games will feature a pre-game show starting at 8 p.m. ET and post-game coverage as well as digital content showcasing the biggest NFL stories, player profiles and interviews, rivalries, social media trends, fans and the lifestyle and culture of NFL among the bicultural Latino fans across Telemundo Deportes platforms and on NFL’s “El Snap.” In addition, Zona Mixta will complement the coverage every week with dedicated NFL segments.
