Latino Media Network launches KYWW Puro Tejano 1530 AM — The Heartbeat of Tejano Music Returns to the Rio Grande Valley

Latino Media Network (LMN) proudly announces the launch of KYWW Puro Tejano 1530 AM, a new Tejano music radio station serving the Rio Grande Valley, from South Padre Island to Starr County. This new addition to LMN’s growing network marks a significant step in delivering culturally resonant, locally-focused content to the region’s vibrant Latino community.

“KYWW Puro Tejano 1530 AM is more than a station—it’s a revival of the Valley’s deep-rooted Tejano music culture,” said LMN Texas Regional General Manager Vicky Guerrero. “We’re proud to bring the community a station that reflects their heritage, celebrates their music, and connects listeners across generations with the authentic Tejano sound they love.”

KYWW Puro Tejano 1530 AM brings back the powerful sounds of classic Tejano legends like Selena, Emilio Navaira, La Mafia, and Mazz, while also elevating rising stars such as Siggno, Solido, and Grupo Frontera. The format is nonstop Tejano—from cumbias and conjunto to heartfelt ballads—with more music, all day, no interruptions.
