Mega 97.9FM (WSKQ-FM), the flagship Spanish-language station of Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (SBS) in New York, has been recognized in the latest Inside Radio report as one of the Top 10 radio stations with the highest cumulative audience (cume) across the United States, according to Nielsen data for Fall 2024 and Winter 2024-25.

With a total audience of 1,677,500 listeners aged six and over, Mega 97.9FM ranks 10th nationwide and stands out as the only Spanish-language station to make the list of the country’s most listened-to stations. The study measured audience reach from Monday to Sunday, between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., highlighting the real-time impact of the most influential stations in the U.S. media market.

“This achievement reflects the power of Latin culture and the unwavering dedication of our team. Being among the top 10 most listened-to radio stations in the U.S. is not just a source of pride — it’s a commitment to continue raising the bar for Hispanic radio every single day,” said Arturo Sosa, Program Director of Mega 97.9FM.
