Pepsi-Cola Names Randolph Melville VP – Urban & Ethnic Marketing.

Pepsi-Cola Company announced the appointment of Randolph (Randy) Melville as Vice President, Urban and Ethnic Marketing. In this leadership role, Melville will drive Pepsi-Cola’s growth across its key urban markets by partnering with the Pepsi bottling network and Frito-Lay.

While Melville is new to Pepsi-Cola, he’s no stranger to PepsiCo. From 1993 to 1996 he worked for Frito-Lay in its Sales and Marketing Departments, last serving as Frito-Lay’s Texoma Region Vice President. In this role, he led profitable growth for his area and was also selected to head a multi-functional task force that successfully developed a new national design and deployment for Frito-Lay’s customer teams. Melville was employed most recently by Maytag, where he was a Senior Vice President, leading the Appliance Division.

“Randy is a gifted leader with the experience, talent and customer-based insight that will be a tremendous asset for the entire Pepsi system,” said Dawn Hudson, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Marketing. “This broad experience will prove invaluable as he directs our urban and ethnic marketing efforts.”

Melville began his career with Procter & Gamble. During his 12 years with P&G, he held a number of Sales positions with increasing responsibility, before joining Frito-Lay in 1993. He is a graduate of Princeton University.
