Roberto Madan recognized by the Boy Scouts of America.

Roberto Madan, the community activist and McDonald’s Owner/Operator who has been widely recognized for his involvement with various McDonald’s Latino initiatives throughout the years, was acknowledged by The Patriots’ Path Council of The Boy Scouts of America who presented him with their “Scouting …¡Vale la pena! 2008 Service Award.”

Madan, formerly National President McDonald’s Hispanic Operators Association, is well-known for his dynamic leadership of the RMHC®/HACER® Scholarships for Hispanic students in their senior year of high school.

An international athlete, Madan was recently inducted to the Hall of Fame of the International Frontennis Federation and into the Cuban Sports Hall of Fame, as well.

“My focus is the community and the Scouts play an important role in helping mentor our kids,” said Madan who admitted “I was never a boy scout myself.” He defined his commitment “as something very close to my heart and very much in context with McDonald’s tradition of giving back to the community in which we do business, following the philosophy of our founder, Ray Kroc.”

Madan was introduced by Jorge Ulla, partner/cio of d expósito & Partners, one of McDonald’s ad and marketing agencies.
