Avis Rent A Car Hispanic Effort @ Hampton Classic Horse Show.

Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. will participate in the 2002 Hampton Classic Horse Show, one of the nation’s premiere show jumping competitions. Avis has been named the official car rental company of the event. In addition, for the second
consecutive year, Avis will be the presenting sponsor of “Fiesta Day” an event dedicated to highlighting the cultures and traditions of the Latino community. Beginning on August 25 and continuing through September 1, 2002, the Classic will be returning to Bridgehampton, New York for its 27th year. Many of the world’s best equestrians will be featured in the hunter/jumping competition from junior levels up to grand prix show jumping.

A highlight of the week-long event is Fiesta Day, which takes place on Friday, August 30. It’s a day of sporting and entertainment events that pays tribute to the many contributions of Hispanics throughout the equestrian community. The day features Latin singing groups crooning to the masses, Spanish Dance performers and a riding demonstration to pay tribute to gaucho and charro traditions of Central America, South America and Mexico. There will be a “Special Achievement” award to honor members of the Hispanic community who made a substantial contribution to the horse industry. Fiesta Day’s exciting equestrian competition will conclude with the $25,000 Grand Prix event.
